Managing User Roles & Permissions

‍ Users may have multiple roles. If a User has multiple roles they will received the combined set of permissions available. ‍

Administrator

‍ As an Admin, you will have access to all management and configuration settings for the entire application. In addition to setting up RevOps, Admins can edit any deals, manage and override any guardrail and approvals, and administer Users. ‍ Users with this role can access everything  including:

  • Create, approve, and manage deals
  • Manage signatories for deals
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs and terms
  • Create, update, and delete workflows
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Add and remove users and teams
  • Configure integrations

Deal Desk Manager

‍ As a Deal Desk Manager, you will have access to all management and configuration of deals. Deal Desk Managers can edit any deals, override all guardrails and approvals, and manage deal signatures. ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • Create, approve, and manage all deals
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Assign signatories to deals

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Cannot create and update Workflows
  • Cannot create, update, and delete SKUs and Terms
  • Manage users and teams
  • Configure integrations

Sales Manager

‍ As a Sales Manager, you will have access to  ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • Create and edit deals
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Can approve deals they are assigned to.
  • Can sign deals they are assigned to.

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Edit counter signers on deals
  • Edit approvers for the deal
  • Create and update workflows
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs and Terms
  • Manage users and teams
  • Configure integrations

Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, Partner Sales

‍ As a Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, or Partner Sales you will have access to create, edit and collaborate on deals. Once approved, the deals can be shared with your customers for review and signing. ‍ The roles of Sales Rep, Customer Success Manager, and Partner Sales all have the same set of permission.  ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • Create and edit deals
  • Comment and assign topics

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Configure deal approvers and counter signers
  • Approve and sign deals
  • Cannot create and update workflows
  • Cannot create, update, and delete SKUs and terms
  • Manage users and teams
  • Configure integrations

General User

‍ As a General User, you will have access to view and comment on deals. Users with this role cannot create, update, and sign deals, nor can they access and manage other areas of the application. ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • View and comment on deals

  • Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Create and edit deals

  • Configure deal approvers and counter signers

  • Approve and sign deals

  • Cannot create and update workflows

  • Cannot create, update, and delete SKUs and terms

  • Manage users and teams

  • Configure integrations

Developer

‍ As a Developer, you will have access to most areas of the platform through the REST API as well as configuring and managing integrations to and from RevOps.  ‍ Developers can access most features through the Sandbox mode. However, additional roles will need to be added if the User will be accessing features through the Live instance of the application. ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • Access to RevOps REST API, webhooks, and developer tools
  • Manage customer accounts and invoices through API
  • Configure integrations
  • Access Sandbox

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Create and edit deals in Live instance
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Edit counter signers on deals
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs and Terms
  • Manage users and teams
  • Manage customer accounts and invoices through the application

Finance

‍ As a Finance user, you will have access to manage the billing information and  ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • View and comment on deals
  • Manage customer accounts
  • Manage invoices

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Create, edit, and sign deals
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs and Terms
  • Manage users and teams
  • Configure integrations

‍ As a Legal user, you will have access to manage the agreement terms of the deals  ‍ Some of what this User can  do include:

  • Edit, view and comment on deals
  • Create, update, and delete terms
  • Attach additional agreements
  • Download and Upload DocX files

Some of what this User cannot  do include:

  • Create and sign deals
  • Create, update, and delete templates
  • Create, update, and delete SKUs
  • Create and update workflows
  • Manage users and teams
  • Configure integrations
